They attacked the clinic because it was in the script... Seriously some plot actions require extremes due to time constraints in the series. Limited number of episodes and time within those will always force things to be concentrated and therefore forced..

Yeah the episode just wanted to show both beasts and humans behaving the same crummy way, so the heroine is completely alone in the world. But the way it did so was kind of clumsy.

It won't, but I just think that looking to find things that may not be there is kinda cliche. In the web manga I found it was a heck of a lot easier to draw a black ball with stubby limbs than to have to draw tons of details because I couldn't hide irrational body design flaws when the color didn't blot out those details... Sometimes it's just easier to draw non-existent creatures that way... Of course explaining it ruins the emersion...

Yeah, she is pure human. Otherwise she would have been affected by the maisma before she got the ring and would have transformed already. King keeps his beast form and magic BECAUSE of the miasma and when it's weak he changes to human form (that one night & in human lands). King is already example of a half human or human with some beast blood in him.
